Domestic workers refer to persons engaged as cleaners, chauffeurs, cooks, those providing personal care for the employer and their family and nannies.
A domestic worker can apply for a visa to visit the UK with his/her employer if:
- They live outside the UK
- They are a domestic worker in a private household
- They have worked for their employer for at least one year
As a domestic worker, this visa can be used to visit the UK with your employer for up to 6 months and you must leave the UK at the end of the 6 months.
There are certain other conditions to be met both by the domestic worker and the employer (who can be either a foreigner or a citizen of the UK).

The Application fee for an Overseas Domestic Worker visa is £531.
